Maharashtra Pollution Control Board operates under the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the Ministry of Environmental Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Issued Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) Certification for the industries operating in Maharashtra as per the different categories Red, Orange, Green and White.
These certification processes are as follow.
Industries seeking to initiate new construction projects, industrial facilities, or activities required to take MPCB consent to establish.
The process involves submitting an application, online which after submission and payment depending on category the field officer visits the concern facility estimate the pollution and send its feed back to its higher authority who after deep scrutiny and required corrective preventive action provides MPCB Consent to establish to the concern activity.
once an establishment has completed construction or setup and is ready to commence operations. Consent to operate have to be taken this process is follow-up process of Consent to Establish.
